JCI India Executive Vice President(EVP) Visit

Executive Vice  President of JCI India for Area B  Jc Keshav Jain was  scheduled to  meet the chapter Presidents and CGB members to  get  updated on the progress of the chapter  and to  provide  his  vision on going forward.

We  received the meeting  notice  from  the host president Jc Ravi Prasad  and ZVP  Jc C J Jeyachander  well in  advance.

EVP  was on tour  visiting various chapters of his area in nearby Kerala, Tamilnadu. Now he is on a  tour to Bangalore, Hassan and Mysore.    Though the start of the meeting was  delayed, all those present  exhibited true Jayceeism and waited and kept themselves  entertained.
  
All the presidents   read out the reports to the gatherings  about the chapter  activities and submitted the same to EVP and ZP.   It  felt  really good that within  2 months of  this year,  various  chapters have  done so many projects  and lot more  can be done in the coming months

EVP appreciated the Chapters  for the good  work  and  highlighted  how  various  chapters  appreciated other  chapters  support in their  report and that is a sign of unite to  impact.  EVP  encouraged the chapters  to  take the Jayceeism outside the  chapter members and   into the community also. 




Host  chapter Bangalore Silicon city released the latest edition of their LOM bulletin 'Bits and Bytes"


The vote of thanks  from  Jc Sridhar  (Host Secretary)  was  short and  enjoyable.    Host  President Jc Ravi Prasad  adjourned the  meeting for  national  anthem.  We were treated with a  very delicious  dinner.

International Women's Day Celebrations

JCI  Bangalore  People's Trust Celebrated   Women's day on  Saturday 8 March at the People's Trust Campus.

Various cultural events were planned.
We  have  invited  3 future women,  Divya,  Nagalakshmi and Sowmya all  9th std students of  Residential Program (TREP) as  the Judges for the events.

This program was  attended by lady Jaycees and women from  neighborhood  villages.

Chapter Development and Management Training (CDMT)

This  training  was  given by  our Zone Vice President Jc C J Jeyachander.

He  highlighted the point that the development is complete if it involves both  development of individual and society.  If the JCI   member develops into a better person this leads to the overall development of the chapter. The  simple  concept of chapter management and  even family  management is managing  "man, material and money"

The  training also covered various details of  history of JCI,  world level office  bearers,   National level office  bearers,  roles and responsibilities of  Chapter Governing  Board (CGB) members.

Details of  the various  JCI programs available  to members and their children were also   shared  to the chapter members

Training on Mother's Care

Parents are the leaders of the family.  Success of the family depends on the effective  leadership of the parents.  Mothers  spend more time with children and her attitude and behavior greatly influences the development of the children.

JCI Bangalore  People's Trust  organised a  training program  to its lady members  on the topic "Mother's Care".

Zone Trainer  Jc Anuradha Jeyachander effectively  trained the members and  imparted  various suggestions to effectively handle the challenges of motherhood.  It was an  interactive session where various daily challenges were discussed and understood.







  

Presidential Academy - 2014

JCI  India  conducts  a two days  residential training for chapter presidents.  The focus of the training is  on leadership, on how the  Presidents can effectively  lead their chapters and develop second level leaders.  This  training is very  important to equip the chapter presidents since it is their only life time chance.  (JCI constitutions allows a member to be chapter president only once).



This presidential academy was  hosted by  JCI Bangalore Garden City at  Ramee Guestline  Resort.



Pilot PNP Jc Ravi Shankar (Past  National President of JCI India),    Co- Pilots  Jc Haridarshan Salike, Jc Murli Mohan Rao both Past Executive Vice  Presidents of JCI India shared their  wisdom on various  aspects of leadership.



Past National President Jc Ramesh Batavia was the  chief Guest.


PEVP Jc Sadanad  Navda chaired the event and made the training very  interesting through his presence and timely touch of wit.


JCI India National  President Jc Deepak Nahar shared his mission of  year 2014 during the valedictory function.  He  highlighted the importance of   "Need  Blood, Call  Jaycees Program"  He also shared that most of the India is affected by mosquito born  diseases.  

JCI is one of the partners for United Nations Millennium  development Goal program.  One of the goals of  this program is  Anti Malarial Drive.
JCI India has tied with a source for procuring medicated mosquito nets for around Rs250 each.
NP shared his  goal  to raise sponsorship for nation wide distribution of  1lakh nets to the needy.  He called for the support of all the chapters to implement this program by raising the necessary  funds.

It  was a multi Zone event and provided an opportunity  for all the presidents to network also
